The Heavy Metal "V" Tour Launches
November 2, 2010

The heavy metal “V” tour definitely isn’t the traditional road show. When you buy a ticket for one of these tour cities, you will get an album of new releases in metal halide education. The Venture Lighting Institute (VLI) announces its 2011 tour dates with four national and three international cities on its calendar for training programs!  The 2011 heavy metal rock theme offers a blast of education and fun. The tour name Heavy Metal “V” delivers a rock concert on metal halide lighting. The band which normally plays in Streetsboro, OH has grown in popularity and is ready to reach more fans with its first international tour.

The “V” Tour starts in Nashville, Tennessee at the heart of where some of the best music in the industry was made.  Other USA locations include Chicago, Portland and Orlando. Internationally, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary have been selected as tour cities. The band will also hold four special concerts in their hometown featuring unplugged tracks. At each concert location, fans get a chance to win back stage passes to visit with the band.

At the Heavy Metal “V” concert, you can expect to hear several tracks played at the one-day class. This includes some of the original releases like the fundamentals of lamp and ballast technology. Other tracks like dimming and controls offer an alternative sound that electrifies the metal halide genre. Just to mix it up, the tour includes the typical ballad like regulatory and code updates affecting metal halide. Finally, concert goers can enjoy the indie rock style of sustainable lighting trends.

No matter what your musical taste, this is a tour that lighting professionals won’t want to miss. The tour is coming to a city near you. Get your tickets before they are sold out!

“We are very excited about taking our band and a solid track of training on tour across the USA and Canada. Many people in the industry have misconceptions about the capabilities, benefits and energy efficiencies of pulse start. Launching the “V” tour is a fun way for us to reach a larger market with the great sounds of metal halide,” said Amanda Foust, director of the VLI.

Each course offers continuing education credits for members of professional organizations that must fulfill training obligations such as NCQLP, PE’s and the AIA. To register for a concert location, review the tracks or contact the VLI, visit www.TheVLI.com.
