Sentry Electric, one of North America’s most experienced and knowledgeable manufacturers of outdoor luminaires, proudly announces that the SEVL Evacuation Light has been selected for inclusion in the 2018 IES Progress Report. The Progress Report recognizes products, publications and design tools that significantly contribute to the art and science of lighting.
SEVL Evacuation Light is designed specifically as a wall-mounted, low-profile light source for evacuation and way-finding in tunnels. It is a rugged, highly specified product that contributes to the safety of drivers and pedestrians during normal or emergency conditions. Most significant is the luminaire’s ability to meet the stringent light distribution and luminance requirements of CIE 193:2010 for pedestrian lighting. The luminaire’s functional and application-specific attributes are all accomplished in its compact, low profile 2” high stainless-steel housing.
The SEVL Evacuation Light is ruggedly constructed of Type 304 cast stainless steel and impact resistant polycarbonate lenses, allowing it to resist the harsh environment of tunnels. Its UL listing and IP66 rating for ingress protection provide certification for safety and reliability.
