Watt Stopper/Legrand, a locally-based company with 25 years of experience in energy-efficient lighting controls, will host a GreenFair on Friday, July 25, 2008, to help its employees and neighbors find green solutions for their daily lives.
The fair is just one part of the company’s overall commitment to being an environmentally responsible manufacturer and member of the community. Watt Stopper/Legrand’s GreenFair will showcase products and programs that help consumers and regional towns and cities conserve resources, save money and improve the future.
Mayors Patricia Mahan of Santa Clara and Barbara Spector of Los Gatos will address the gathering, meet with constituents and discuss their municipalities’ approaches to environmental issues. A representative from San Jose will discuss Mayor Chuck Reed’s Green Vision program.
Exhibitors will include a wide variety of organizations specializing in such fields as alternative transportation options, recycling programs and environmental advocacy. Consumer-oriented solutions to be showcased include environmentally friendly food, furniture, vehicles, and products and services for home improvement. Some of the products are organically or sustainably produced, while others are designed to help save resources.
