NEMA’s March Electroindustry Business Confidence Index (EBCI) for current North American business conditions continues to indicate improvement in the business environment despite slipping in March. The index registered 65.9 in March, down from the 73.8 recorded in the first two months of 2013. By contrast, confidence in future business conditions continues to build, as the EBCI for North American conditions six months hence climbed by nearly 10 points in March to 90.9, the highest level for the forward looking index in a decade.
