Nora Lighting was recently recognized as a major corporate supporter for a “very generous” donation to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles.
Nora underwrote a significant contribution of lighting fixtures, installation equipment and accessories for Habitat for Humanity’s Home Improvement Store in Gardena, CA. Habitat’s nationwide network of Home Improvement Stores provide local contractors and homebuilders with top quality, name brand merchandise at substantial discounts. All proceeds from the organization’s Home Improvement Stores are used to support local home building programs.
“We are delighted to help sponsor Habitat for Humanity’s valuable community service work,” said Nora Lighting Vice President Jilla Farzan. “They have given thousands of people a new vision for their future – and have made safe, decent and affordable housing within the reach of hard-working families.”
Habitat’s Home Improvement Stores are open to the general public with 10 locations throughout southern California. Nationwide, Habitat for Humanity has more than 600 Home Improvement Stores, which generate funding for the organization’s well-known home building programs.
“Nora Lighting was very generous,” said Nikki Cordero, donations coordinator, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles. “Nora Executive Vice President Jilla Farzan was personally involved in helping to supply our Gardena Home Improvement Store with track and rail fixtures, lamps and all the hardware necessary for complete installations,” said Cordero. “Her donation makes it possible for us not only to build homes, but to build hope, promise and opportunity for families in need,” she said.
