Nora Lighting introduces the industry’s first compact fluorescent GU24 family of housings and trims that accept interchangeable, self-ballasted GU24 CFL lamps in 13W, 18W and 26W.
The innovative NHIC / NHRIC GU24 CFL Series includes six down light models with 4-inch, 5-inch and 6-inch apertures, all designed for new construction and remodeling. The self-ballasted CFL lamps feature electronic instant-starts and no- flicker performance. Some lamps deliver up to 30,000 hours of service and offer up to 75 percent energy savings over incandescents. Because the ballast is part of the lamp, a new ballast is installed with each relamping.
To save time and costs, Nora has introduced a complete GU24 package that includes the housing and self-ballasted lamp, along with a selection of trims, saving up to 50 percent of the cost of conventional 4-pin electronic fluorescent fixtures.
All new Nora CFL housings are CA Title 24-compliant and the 6-inch version is Energy Star-rated. Fixtures are airtight and approved for insulated ceilings and cUL-listed for damp locations. GU24 CFL lamps have soared in popularity due to the need for energy- efficient lighting and the flexibility of easily changeable wattages. The housings also satisfy CA Title 24 standards, which do not allow screw-based fixtures in new residential construction or remodeling.
NHIC / NHRIC GU24 CFL fixtures are the latest innovation from Nora Lighting, which also offers a complete line of standard CFL recessed housings; CFL track and rail fixtures; and CFL GU24 glass pendants and sconceas.
