NEMA To Host Webinar On Reducing Costs And Saving Energy In Buildings By Managing Lighting

NEMA’s enLIGHTen America campaign will present a webinar on June 1 from 2–3 p.m. EDT, hosted by Today’s Facility Manager, focusing on the latest lighting management strategies and systems that enable building managers to reduce energy costs, improve energy efficiency, meet code mandates, and enhance occupant productivity.

The webinar will address technologies such as digital lighting controls, wireless systems, advanced daylighting and window shade controls, and occupancy sensors. Case studies demonstrating how lighting controls save energy and enhance occupant satisfaction will also be presented.

The presenters:

Bob Freshman, Marketing Manager with Leviton Manufacturing Company, works on commercializing products designed to simplify the adoption of energy conserving lighting controls into both new and existing buildings. He has been involved in the development, specification, and marketing of energy management lighting control products for Leviton.

Michael Jouaneh, Marketing Manager with Lutron Electronics, is active in the development of the nation’s top energy and green building codes and standards. He is the author of several published articles, white papers, and case studies on high performance green buildings, energy conservation, and sustainability.

Dorene Maniccia, Director of Policy and Industry Affairs with WattStopper, leads policy and industry initiatives. Dorene’s 25 years of experience includes lighting designer, consulting engineer, lighting teacher, and researcher. She developed WattStopper’s Best Practice Guides for Offices, Schools, and Warehouses and provides the vision and leadership for the company’s education, energy code, and sustainability programs.
