The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), on behalf of the American National Standard Lighting Group (ANSLG), has published ANSI_ANSLG C78.81-2010 American National Standard for Electric Lamps—Double-Capped Fluorescent Lamps—Dimensional and Electrical Characteristics. The standard was last revised in 2005.

ANSI_ANSLG C78.81 details the physical and electrical characteristics of the principal types of fluorescent lamps intended for application on conventional line frequency circuits and electronic high-frequency circuits.

This revision includes the addition of three new fluorescent lamp data sheets for the following lamps:

25-Watt, 48-Inch T8, High-Frequency Fluorescent Lamp [sheet 7881-ANSI-1028-1]
28-Watt, 48-Inch T8, High-Frequency Fluorescent Lamp [sheet 7881-ANSI-1029-1]
30-Watt, 48-Inch T8, High-Frequency Fluorescent Lamp [sheet 7881-ANSI-1030-1]
