LightFair Calls On Industry Experts For 2011 Educational Program In Philadelphia
August 15, 2010

Just three months after the record-breaking Las Vegas show and conference, LIGHTFAIR® International (LFI) has already developed and expanded its renowned educational program for 2011, and is now seeking the industry’s leaders to present next year. LFI, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference—featuring the LIGHTFAIR Institute® and the LIGHTFAIR Daylighting Institute®—calls for speakers to submit proposals for the 2011 conference in its new location at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

TOPICS:
Industry experts are invited to submit lighting-related topics from novice to advanced, including (but not limited to) applications, software, control systems, product updates, building integration, BIM, retrofitting, design innovations, daylighting, sustainable and environmental design, case studies, lighting fundamentals and professional development.

AUDIENCE:
Those chosen will present to architects, specifiers, lighting designers, interior designers, engineers, energy consultants, facility managers, government officials, landscape architects, consultants, retail designers, urban planners, lighting manufacturers, contractors, students and more.

NEW!:
Expanding on its distinguished Daylighting Institute and LIGHTFAIR Institute workshops and conference courses, the LFI educational program will now offer a new category within its seminar tracks, Retrofit and Update, focusing on a significant and timely topic of discussion for the lighting industry. This track concentrates on technologies and strategies for lighting interventions in buildings or projects that already exist. Presentations will explore the challenges and advantages of integrating new lighting fixtures, controls and infrastructure into existing buildings to improve the visual environment, energy conservation and efficiencies.

Additionally, in response to the successful launch at the 2010 show and conference, LFI will again offer both the Building Integration track and the Design Symposium courses for the second year in 2011.

WHO:
Industry professionals who can develop and present well-defined, timely and in-depth courses.

HOW:
All submissions must be made via the official LFI website at www.lightfair.com.

DEADLINE:
Submissions will be accepted online only until September 13, 2010.

WHEN:
Selected speakers will present at LFI 2011, May 15-19, 2011.

WHERE:
