LEGION LIGHTING CO., INC.®, has teamed up with SMASH INDUSTRIES to manufacture unique lighting sculptures. Our initial collaboration is the Artisan Series Subway Lighting fixture that combines art and light. Nationwide graffiti artists have participated giving these items a unique look. Legion Lighting in support of the East New York local arts community is manufacturing vintage subway cars in its Brooklyn factory.  Each car is custom painted by local and not so local graffiti artists.  Each one of a kind all steel subway car can also be customized for various lighting elements and mounting.  Information on the various models available are on the Legion website, more are added as artists finish and photograph their trains.  Contact Legion lighting for more information (www.legionlighting.com).  The car is approximately 26” long and 5” wide, a wonderful piece of art and nostalgia to display on the bar or shelf, or have it made for hanging or wall mounting.
