LIGHTFAIR® 2014 Will Stage Two New Healthcare And Hospitality Lighting Forums
April 15, 2014

LIGHTFAIR® International (LFI®) will stage two new Forums as a part of the 2014 Conference – LFI Healthcare Lighting Forum and LFI Hospitality Lighting Forum – each aligned with LFI’s growing focus on healthcare and hospitality lighting trends and technologies.

These new two-day Forums take place June 3-4 during LFI 2014 and focus on two relevant and timely topics: Healthcare and Hospitality. The Forums will begin on Tuesday, the first day of the LFI trade show, with dynamic keynotes, an engaging panel and a must-attend reception. On Wednesday, each Forum will feature five 90-minute seminars presented by industry experts, including a Lunch & Learn seminar.

Participants of both Forums will join together to attend the keynote presentation – “The Wellness Revolution: The Next Driver of the Lighting Industry” – by Dr. Michael Roizen, chief wellness officer at the Cleveland Clinic and the Honorable Richard Gephardt, former United States Congressman and House of Representatives Majority Leader, president & chief executive officer of Gephardt Government Affairs.

Forum panel speakers include: Tom Kaczkowski, AIA, LEED GA, Group Vice President, Director of Lighting Design, HOK; Dr. Steven W. Lockley, Associate Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School and Neuroscientist, Division of Sleep and Circadian Disorders; Dr. Russell A. Sanna, Executive Director, Harvard Medical School, Division of Sleep Medicine; Michael David White, LC, EDAC, LEED AP, Senior Lighting Designer, Schuler Shook; and Dr. Douglas L. Wood, Medical Director, Center for Innovation, Mayo Clinic. The panel will be moderated by Michelle Moore, Advisor to the International Well Building Institute. The Forum keynotes, panel and reception are sponsored by Delos.

The LFI Healthcare Lighting Forum seminars will feature global trends, patient room lighting, case studies, evidence-based design, a hospital panel, energy efficiency and healing environments of the future. The LFI Hospitality Lighting Forum seminars will cover collaborative design, hotel and restaurant renovations, storytelling through lighting, LED retrofit savings and lighting strategies for hotels and convention centers.

These Forums will be complemented by many LFI exhibitors showcasing healthcare and hospitality lighting products and solutions during the LFI 2014 trade show from June 3-5.

For LIGHTFAIR International 2014, the Pre-Conference program will take place from Sunday, June 1 – Monday, June 2, 2014 and the LFI Trade Show and Conference will run from Tuesday, June 3 – Thursday, June 5, 2014. For more information about LIGHTFAIR International, please visit WWW.LIGHTFAIR.COM.
