The Designers Lighting Forum of New York is proud to announce that LEDucation 5 continues its reign as one of the premier educational and exhibit events within the industry. A record breaking crowd of over 1800 attendees from across North American and Europe gathered at New York’s Hotel Pennsylvania on Wednesday, March 16th to learn and experience the latest development in solid state lighting.
With a sold out exhibit hall of 87 leading manufacturers from across the world, LEDucation 5 attendees viewed the latest innovations, technology and products confirming LEDucation as an essential destination that is synonymous with next-generation technology, education and insight.
“We are so appreciative of the continued support that LEDucation has received from the industry over the years and this year’s event has surpassed our expectations with an amazing record breaking attendance,” commented Event Vice Chair and one of the original committee members, Robert Nadel.
“From the inception of this event in 2007, we aspired to bring a regional event to the Lighting industry that provided both an educational forum that gives the design, education and engineering community the opportunity to speak directly with a variety of manufacturers about the latest technologies and products, but to also gain valuable educational credits with our accredited seminars.”
Dedicated to advancing the education of the lighting community, LEDucation 5 offered attendees key updates and glimpses into the future of the industry. The expanded technology showcase offered lighting designers, architects, specifiers, contractors, educators, and students a unique opportunity to view the industry’s newest technologies and innovations at more than 87 LED, OLED, and control manufacturers’ exhibits, while a series of seminars conducted by some of the industry’s leading authorities gave attendees a chance to catch up on the latest advancements. Attendees enjoyed seminars from industry leading professionals including: Mike Myers, PNNL, Barbara Horton, Horton Leeds Brogden Lighting Design, Brian Stacy & Richard Fisher of ARUP, Eric Lind of Lutron and Ron Steen of Xicato.
