The International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD) is seeking experts to present at Enlighten Americas 2013.
Enlighten Americas 2013 will be held on 3-5 October 2013 at the Hyatt Regency Montréal in Montréal, QC Canada. To be considered as a conference speaker you must submit your proposal via the online submission site by 18 January 2013. The submission web site can be accessed at http://iald.me/RxbIkp (this link is case sensitive).
The IALD Enlighten Americas conference is intended to challenge traditional thought, identify trends/current pressures and motivate attendees to think “outside the box.” Seminars and workshops should be aimed at an experienced/advanced level. The audience will include lighting specifiers, lighting manufacturers, and representatives, as well as architects, interior designers, educators and students.
IALD encourages submission of sessions including lectures, group discussions, panels, workshops, breakouts and much more. Submitted sessions should be planned to fill 90 minutes. Submitters are encouraged to find creative ways to split up this time – attendees respond positively to mixed-type and interactive formats, which break up the 90 minutes and stimulate more active thinking.
Enlighten Americas 2013 will feature a two-day conference program following a three-track system, featuring courses in the Art, Science and Professional Tools tracks. Submitters are asked to select a track for each of their submissions.
For more information about the submission process, including topic ideas for each track, speaker compensation details, and instructions on using the online submission site, visit http://iald.me/UbPyic (link is case sensitive). The deadline for submission is 18 January 2013.
