Holophane adds High Mast Advanced Optix (HMAO™) Series luminaires to its line of high mast lighting systems for illuminating large areas. The fixtures feature a precise optical design that provides a variety of lighting distributions, including IESNA cutoff and full cutoff versions.
High vertical illumination improves visibility and safety in a wide range of applications, including roadways, port facilities, airports, water treatment plants, parking lots, rail yards and storage areas.
“HMAO Series luminaires represent an effective solution for areas where light trespass and light pollution are concerns,” said Dave Deck, Holophane Senior Product Manager, Outdoor. “When incorporated with Holophane lowering devices, the HMAO system requires fewer luminaires and poles, which reduces energy requirements and maintenance costs over the life of the installation.”
Holophane HMAO Series luminaires are available with asymmetric and symmetric reflectors and refractors and may be used with 400- to 1,000-watt high pressure sodium and metal halide lamps. The fixtures include an open ventilated design to minimize dirt depreciation, with a unitized quick disconnect ballast assembly and tool-less lamp replacement to ease maintenance. The luminaires are UL listed for 40ºC, wet locations.
