Hi Score Corporation announces that the pilot program initiated by the city of Tamarac in April of 2009 is seeing approximately 60% savings on energy cost on the initial 25 street lights installed on West Commercial Boulevard.
According to the company, several municipalities including Pittsburg, Tamarac, Coral Springs, Melbourne and Miami to name a few, are initiating the conversion to LED lighting and Hi Score is planning the conversion of 100,000 street lights within the next 24 months.
"The energy savings obtained from the conversion of every street light is the equivalent to one barrel of oil per month per light and therefore our company can significantly provide savings to our customers at the same time as being great for the environment," said Dror Svorai, President and CEO of Hi Score Corp. "The energy stimulus plan introduced by the Obama administration is truly enabling this quick adoption to LED technology and our company is well positioned to capture a significant market share," further added Mr. Svorai.
