Power management company Eaton, a 2016 ENERGY STAR® Partner of the Year, will showcase its innovative and energy-saving solutions for the residential building and construction industry at the 2016 PCBC trade show on June 22 and 23 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, booth 1215. At the largest home building trade show representing the West Coast region, visitors to Eaton’s exhibit can meet with company representatives and see its latest light-emitting diode (LED) lighting, wiring devices and power management technologies designed to save time, money and energy.
“Energy codes continue to drive increases in lighting efficiency and electrical safety standards on the West Coast and throughout the nation,” said Glenn Siegel, director, marketing and product management, Eaton’s Lighting Division. “The PCBC show allows us to demonstrate Eaton’s lighting, electrical connectivity, control and power management solutions that are helping the building community adhere to the evolving energy landscape and provide their customers with a home they will enjoy for years to come.”
Visitors at Eaton’s booth can get a better understanding of the advancement of LED lighting products, why LED products are becoming the optimal solution throughout the home, and how LED solutions reduce costs and maintenance. Offering one of the industry’s most comprehensive portfolio of LED luminaires, Eaton will showcase numerous ENERGY STAR-certified and code-compliant recessed downlights, surface-mounted and undercabinet lighting products. Additionally, visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about a variety of the company’s wiring devices and power management solutions including dimmers, charging devices, receptacles, switches, control systems, load centers, circuit breakers and surge protection products.
Eaton’s technology on display at PCBC include:
- Halo ML4 LED Downlights – Diminutive in size, but powerful in performance, the ML4 LED system is comprised of a housing, LED module and a choice of a field interchangeable, round or square, 2-inch aperture pinhole trim, delivering 900 lumens and offering the optical control and color quality typically associated with low-voltage tungsten-halogen MR16 lamps.
- Dual-Purpose Outlet Branch Circuit (OBC) Arc Fault/Ground Fault Receptacle – The receptacle provides both Arc Fault (AF) and Ground Fault (GF) protection in one convenient device. With the 2014 NEC requiring kitchens and laundry areas to have both AFCI and GFCI protection and other areas expected in further code expansions, the AF/GF receptacle is a great new alternative solution to meet code compliances.
- Complete Home Surge Protection – The devices help protect homeowners’ electronics and appliances from the damaging effects of electrical surges. Simply installed at the breaker box, the devices provide premium surge protection for AC power and cable at the point of entrance to reduce surges entering the home to an acceptable level.
Eaton will also highlight its ENERGY STAR leadership and its 60-year recessed downlighting history at the show. Named the leader in lighting by builders for the 18th consecutive year, the Halo product line is celebrating its 60th anniversary and visitors will see a historical timeline of Halo’s many accomplishments, including providing the first ENERGY STAR-certified downlight in 2009. Eaton’s impressive offering of over 150,000 configurable models of ENERGY STAR-certified products in the Recessed Lighting category has resulted in the company being named this year, and in 2015, as an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year.
“From what began as a small business start-up in 1956 to the industry leader today, the Halo product line has been providing builders with reliable and high-performing lighting products for their homes,” said Siegel. “For 60 years, the on-going research and development, state-of-the-art engineering, meticulous product standards and tradition of unparalleled service has distinguished Halo as the product line builders know and trust and we appreciate the ongoing support from the home building community.”
