The award honors the commitment all three companies made to
support local schools and inspire the next generation of engineers.
For the past five years, B-K Lighting, TEKA Illumination and Blue Dolphin Design and Engineering have partnered with the Madera County Compact by supporting the School of Engineering and Technology at Madera High School. B-K Lighting President Doug Hagen, who served on the advisory committee, offers vocational training and financial support for the award-winning Robotics Team.
”Our quality, innovation, and an unending quest for excellence helps strengthen our company and brightens the future of America when we invest in the young minds that we will someday employ,” said Hagen. “These young people bring creativity and new energy that represents the philosophy of America and helps cultivate business.” Madera High Vice Principal and Robotics Team Sponsor Alan Hollman nominated B-K Lighting for this year’s award.
“We are thrilled to congratulate B-K Lighting, TEKA Illumination and Blue Dolphin Design and Engineering as recipients of this prestigious award,” added Alan Hollman.
“They have inspired our students with leadership to be more focused, and more efficient while thinking outside the box. They have raised the bar for innovation and organizational excellence and, in the process, help to provide our students an opportunity to achieve greater success and aspire to a higher quality of life.” Madera County Compact Chairperson Eric Kurtz and Madera County School Superintendent Sally Frazier honored B-K Lighting, Blue Dolphin Design and Engineering, Educational Employees Credit Union and Sierra Ambulance at a luncheon held at the Madera Municipal Golf Course.
Over 100 local business owners, employees and Madera County dignitaries attended the gala to support and recognize these accomplished businesses for their efforts to partnership and improve the local community. |
