Axis Technologies Group, Inc. is excited to announce that FSC Lighting has launched their own daylight harvesting and dimming fluorescent lighting system by installing the Axis Technologies ballast into FSC fluorescent light fixtures known as the DHS Series.
The FSGreenZone section of the FSC website provides a description of its new fixture that can reduce lighting energy costs by up to 70%. This launch allows FSC, whose slogan is "Energy Efficient Lighting," to provide its customer base with an even more energy-efficient daylight harvesting fixture.
FSC recently initiated its new product launch in California and New York. The state of New York offers incentives for using energy efficient lighting by retrofitting or in new construction. In particular, NYSERDA (New York State Energy Research and Development Authority) offers a $40 rebate for use of the Axis ballast. Subsequent launches will be made by FSC in other states offering incentives for energy reduction.
Installation of the FSC fixture with the Axis ballast makes it easy for businesses to embrace the economic benefits of environmental responsibility. The electrical energy savings can be as much as 400 kWh per fixture per year, which equates to nearly 700 pounds of carbon dioxide emission reduction. Quick installation, no commissioning (periodic recalibration), and individually integrated automatic controls makes this new fixture unique.
Dave Derk, National Sales Mgr. for FSC Lighting, said, "FSC Lighting is very optimistic about the sales potential of the energy efficient DHS Series fixtures and we currently have orders shipping for installation in a well-known national restaurant chain." Mr. Derk continued, "FSC has 34 rep agencies nationwide, and we have been aggressively introducing the new FSC DHS fixture series to our customers. I wasn't surprised by the instant interest we received from many of our customers after the recent launch."
Gary Boe, National Sales Mgr. for Axis Technologies, said, "Axis is pleased to work with FSC in what will be a win/win situation for both companies. Partnering with a company that already has an established customer base is a great way to bring market awareness of the Axis Daylight Harvesting ballasts to a higher level, and to help reduce this country's energy needs. Also, the incorporation of the Axis ballast in the original design of lighting fixtures offers the most cost effective way to adopt green technology in corporate lighting."

About Axis Technologies Ballast
Axis Technologies Group, Inc. has developed an innovative new ballast, an electronic component that regulates voltage in fluorescent lighting that focuses on expanding daylight harvesting into mainstream fluorescent lighting applications. The patented Axis Dimming/Daylight Harvesting Ballast is a new technology that transforms the ballast, a once standard lighting industry staple, into a dynamic energy-saving system that can reduce lighting energy costs by up to 70%. The Axis DDH Ballast utilizes an individual photo sensor to automatically adjust the amount of electrical current flowing to the light fixture, and then dims or increases lighting in conjunction with the amount of available sunlight that may be harvested from available windows and sunlight. The Axis DDH Ballast avoids "over-lit" conditions that increase energy costs by keeping lighting "tuned" to the desired level in a designated area. |
