After three years of research and development, Q-Tran introduces Q-Scape, the first power system infrastructure invented specifically for landscape lighting applications. Q-Tran is the industry leader of high-performance power supplies and transformers for low voltage and LED lighting.

A complete system of 217 originally designed components, Q-Scape includes everything from the fixture to the home or building-- offering flexibility, ease of installation, exceptional industrial design, high performance, low maintenance and long life. The system is UL listed for three different applications: landscape lighting (UL1838); pool/spa lighting (including water fountains); and low voltage luminaire power supply (UL2108) for indoor/outdoor lighting.

Designed for scalability, Q-Scape accommodates additional Q-Set transformers (for energy efficient low voltage halogen) and Q-Set drivers (for energy efficient LED lighting), to provide higher wattage as the landscaping project, and luminaire configuration, grows. Individual transformer cassettes within the housing offer tremendous flexibility for maintenance. Q-Vault housing and Q-Set received Lightfair International's Innovation Awards for Best Landscape Lighting Products, and Best Overall Product Design from 187 entries.

To ensure complete water tightness, Q-Vault was engineered with a compression molded epoxy composite to meet stringent IP68 standards, an international protection rating certifying operation during continuous immersion in water. All entry points had to be completely sealed, including a robust door gasket.
Q-Set features interchangeable modules with toroidal transformers, ranging from 180 to 900 watts for low voltage halogen and eight models for LED, for mounting above and inground, for outdoor and indoor lighting applications. Each cassette features five voltage taps, allowing varying run lengths or loads off the same unit. Shorter runs are used with lower voltage taps, as drop is less voltage, while fixtures further away recover voltage from a higher tap. A 10-25 percent energy savings is realized over industry standard models.

Q-Wire is UL ListedUF-B for 90C and protected bytin coated copper to prevent oxidization over time, and the valley between conductors is filled to allow Q-Clik compression fittings to make an IP68 seal. Q-Wire is resistant, and install easily for direct burial applications to power low voltage/LED outdoor and most indoor residential lighting. Its dual-colored outer jacket has Gray on one side and Brown on the other to camouflage the wire on a tree bark.
