Acuity Brands, Inc., announces its Holophane® TunnelPass LED™ has been distinguished by The Next Generation Luminaires™ (NGL) Solid State Lighting (SSL) Design Competition as a luminaire designed with technical innovation and excellence. The award-winning TunnelPass LED luminaire reduces energy consumption by up to 50 percent compared to high intensity discharge (HID) fixtures. The durable TunnelPass LED provides optimal lighting uniformity in tunnel and underpass applications, while offering up to 100,000 hours of reliable operation.
"It is an honor to have our innovative outdoor lighting solutions recognized by the NGL judges," said Dave Deck, Acuity Brands Infrastructure Value Stream Manager. "We found they were particularly pleased with the powerful light output delivered by the TunnelPass LED. And it was communicated that the key serviceability features, such as tool-less access really impressed the judges."
TunnelPass LED drivers have 0 to 10 volt dimming capability, allowing users to control the lumen output as desired. The fixtures are also available with optional lumen packages to maximize energy savings. TunnelPass LED luminaires can be ceiling or wall mounted. They are intended to replace 100-watt through 400-watt high pressure sodium.
